Cooking & Nutrition – First Half-Term Activities

In Cooking and Nutrition, we have started the school year off with a mixture of different cooking activities.

Focussing on knife safety, Leaf and Accreditation classes have been using knives in various ways, making fruit Salads, patterns in bread and chicken goujons.

Branch classes have begun their topic on the Eat-well guide and healthy foods. They have made butter, pizza and macaroni cheese.

Roots and Seeds classes have been enjoying exploring foods and expressing their likes and dislikes, whilst using a range of equipment.

Food tasting has included, sandwiches, cakes, strawberry mousse and apple doughnuts.
