The effect of the premium on pupils’ PE and sport participation and attainment.
All our pupils are making steady progress in PE. Their skills are improving and the pupils are given the opportunity to develop and practise the skills taught during their weekly 2×45 minutes PE sessions at break and lunch times with equipment provided. As many of our children are motivated by food, this is enabling us to help combat the risk of obesity.
The impact of this funding is monitored through pupils’ progress reviews and reports to governors.
As a new and expanding school we are currently increasing our equipment stores for both the PE department and the break and lunchtime experiences. More equipment needs to be available to extend key skills and improve the opportunities to children dependent on the topics taught.
With the introduction on our Growth curriculum, pupils will now be able to access swimming lessons (providing risk of COVID-19 allows).
