Riverside Bridge 2017/18
Year 7 Literacy & Numeracy Grant
The school receives Department for Education funding in the amount of £500 per learner in Year 7 for ‘Catch-up Literacy and Numeracy’ to support interventions at the entry to Key Stage 3.
In 2017-2018 the allocated funding for 11 learners was £5,500.
The school utilises this funding in two ways:
To support the cost of a Literacy Intervention Teaching Assistant and a Numeracy Intervention Teaching Assistant for learners working at or above Stage 10.
To purchase specialist resources which are age appropriate to promote learning priorities for cognition and communication for learners working at or below Stage 8.
