Art Club

During the second week of Art Club, the pupils have continued exploring the material clay.  They have been using various templates and shapes to create their own cut outs.  Most pupils chose to make cut outs of different animals, such as sharks and hippos.  Some of the pupils managed to go further by creating a bowl in a shape of a snake.  Clay was rolled evenly and stretched by hand, coiled carefully around the perimeter of the bowl base and further layers were added to create a ‘snake’ effect.  The pupils have settled well in Art Club and find Art as a subject they can all relate to, understand and reflect on.  Mr McCrossen, Mrs Sahotay and Mrs Yousaf are so pleased with the progress to date as the art work is so beautifully presented and cannot wait till the next lesson.  Here’s to more clay manipulation, cut outs, using a creative imagination and great Art vibes! ?
