Geographical Awareness is delivered through cross-curricular topics. Geography is considered intrinsic to daily routines, everyday places and people, the weather and what’s in the news. We aim to offer our pupils opportunities to stimulate an interest in their surroundings and in the variety of human and physical conditions on the Earth’s surface; to foster a sense of wonder at the beauty of the world around them; to help develop an informed concern about the quality of the environment and the future of the human habitat; and to enhance a sense of responsibility for the care of the Earth and its people.
