Our year 7 and 8 students represented Barking and Dagenham at the LVP Hockey Schools Festival at Lee Valley hockey centre in Stratford, on Wednesday 4th October. Many of our pupils had not payed much hockey before and developed significantly during the course of the day. The festival included an hour coaching session by experienced coaches. We did fantastic in the tournament winning two games 1-0 against Forest Gate (Newham) and 2-0 against Jo Richardson, the only other representative from Barking. Stand out performances were from Chidera Ofor who scored our first goal, Hissam Ali who was solid in the back and Godfrey Ekhorutonweb who scored the other two goals. The most improved player was Jesse Matthews who demonstrated a wide range of technical skills. The pupils were a credit to the school and thoroughly enjoyed the day.
