Riverside school have partnered with Future Generation Global (FG) to deliver an Elite Basketball Academy program for Girls and Boys aged 16-19. Future Generation have developed a program that offers an exceptional basketball coaching experiences for young people with the goal of developing student athletes to be amongst the best talent in the UK. Our mission is to create a legacy of success and national recognition for Riverside School.
We view recruitment as a critical activity, and we are always on the lookout for players who have the potential and mental strength to become elite level basketball players. Our recruitment team are active throughout the season, visiting National league and CBL games to find the best talent at under 16 level ready to make the step up to college academy. We are also run half term and summer basketball camps in partnership with RDF.
Format of the Basketball Academy
Each day you will be trained in Individual sessions focused on your personal skill development and team sessions emphasising tactical improvement. All games will be recorded with regular video sessions, performance analysis, and statistical analysis through crossover to improve your game. Through our unique partnership with Future Generation we have at the helm of our basketball academy program a professional basketball coach. Coach L brings a wealth of experience from the professional game having been both a player and coach at the very highest level. He is currently an assistant coach at the London Lions, who are the reigning champions of the British Basketball League.
Basketball Fixtures & Results
Next season Riverside Basketball Academy have entered the ABL – The Academy Basketball league, Under 17s and 19s England Schools Basketball competition and the AoC – Association of Colleges regional competition.
