On Friday 4th November, Riverside welcomed Margaret Hodge MP for Barking to speak with year 9 following their civics lessons in the previous term. The visit was eagerly anticipated by the year 9S, who had put together a list of questions for the MP. Questions ranged from traffic on the A13 and the anticipated riverside train service to Margaret’s day to day life as an MP and her views on the Conservative government. Margaret delivered a session which was informative and enlightening for the students who were keen to carry on the conversation with teachers and each other afterwards. A very successful visit for everyone involved.
