On November 18th, 25 Lucky students had the opportunity to attend the ATP World Tour Tennis finals at the O2 where World Number 1 Novak Djokovic showcased his talents on a fun filled evening. Students had the opportunity to explore the O2 beforehand, seeing the sights of one of London’s most iconic buildings. Upon the tour, they also bumped into none other than Andy Murray! The first match was played between the world number one pair ‘The Bryan Brothers’ in a doubles match vs Jamie Murray, brother of Andy, and his British compatriot. The game was a close fought battle which ended up with the British pair overcoming the world number 1 pairing, 2 sets to 1. The main event then started with Novak Djokovic playing against Czech player,Tomas Berdych. Djokovic was at his imperious best as he swept aside the challenger 2 sets to 0 as he marched his way to the final.
A great evening had by all and hopefully more sports trips in the future to come!
