Over the summer Riverside ran its annual Literacy Summer School that took place between Monday 20th July and Friday 31st July. The summer school focused on improving the students literacy skills in preparation for the new term. There were a number of trips which included an exciting visit to The London Dungeons; a tour of the Tower of London; an afternoon to remember at Dagenham Bowl and a visit from Centre of the cell, which involved two workshops; Sick, snot and scabs and Microbe detectives. The students had a great opportunity to get to know new peers, new teachers and to familiarise themselves with their new school.
