Riverside’s Values

Mr A. Roberts, Headteacher
At Riverside School, we serve our local community, meeting the needs of a rapidly growing school population in the Thames View and Riverside areas in the southern part of our borough, maintaining the very highest standard of education to ensure ‘Excellence for All’.

Our success is a result of an absolute emphasis on learning, the brilliant parental support that we receive and our close-knit team of enthusiastic and incredibly talented staff. There is a real sense of passion and dynamism that students and staff bring to all that they do, sharing the following common values:

  • Learning is at the heart of everything we do.
  • We celebrate our diversity.
  • We respect each other
  • We have high aspirations.

What people say about us

Ofsted 2015

“High aspiration is an expectation for everybody at Riverside School.”

Ofsted 2015

“Students' behaviour around school and in lessons is exemplary. They are eager to learn and contribute very well to lessons.”

Year 7 Riverside Student

“…getting stuck is part of learning”

Ofsted 2015

"Attendance is well above average. Students enjoy, and are proud of, going to Riverside School."

Duke of Edinburgh 2017

The assessor said: ‘it was a pleasure to see how well all the pupils worked together, not just within in their teams but as a collective to make sure everyone came out successful. It is a credit to the school to see a bunch of pupils so willing to help each other and show such great levels of commitment and determination.’
