James Morris from Advanced Maths Support Programme (AMSP) came to talk to year 10 and 11 students about why they should think seriously about studying Level 3 Maths in year 12.
The main reason for studying Maths A Level is that maths is fun, challenging and interesting but it will open doors to not only further studies but also to many interesting careers. Maths is a wonderful complement to many other subjects including geography, psychology, physics, and chemistry to name a few.
Now of course money isn’t everything but research has shown that A Level mathematics improves the chance of attending a top university and also increases lifetime earnings by up to 11%.
James was fun, engaging and very informative. Riverside is working closely with the AMSP so look out for future events.
