On Tuesday 21st March, a group of Year 10 students went to Queen Mary University for a Law Taster Afternoon. This comprised an informative talk about university admissions for law, A level pathways and future careers alongside an exciting mock trial.
Some pictures are included below. Riverside students took full part in the mock trial, with Jadesola, Ashley and Kieran leading the case for the defence, Rukiya playing a defendant accused of theft, and Malisa and Samson key witnesses. Jack was the intrepid judge, who frequently had to silence an unruly gallery and loquacious jury. In the end the jury found the defendants not guilty.
