On the 2nd of February we celebrated all that is ‘the arts’ at Riverside School. Musically we witness the whole journey from beginning to learn an instrument to year 10s GCSE students showing what musicianship means. Stand out moment was Bob Marley’s ‘Could you be loved’ by the year 10s and Grace from year 8 singing and playing the piano her unique rendition of ‘Lost Boy’ was impressive. The art department displayed student work on visualiser and offered the audience the opportunity to be part of an interactive art installation upon entry. Finally the drama department showed us it’s serious and frivolous side in two pieces giving us an insight in to the teacher/pupil relationship.
