On the 26th Feb, the Year 8 girls cricket competed in the U13 Indoor county cricket tournament held at Essex CCC.
After narrowly losing the first game to St Marten’s by 20 runs, Riverside had some work to ensure they came away from the day with a victory.
The next game went a lot more to plan as Riverside posted a commanding total of 86 off 10 overs with Renai and Rejoice top scoring with 15 runs each.
Superb bowling by Andreya and Ayeeshat limited the St Angela’s, to 45 within their alloted 10 overs meaning that the girls ended the day finishing second. A fantatstic day all-round was completed by meeting Men’s England International Captain, Alistair Cook who passed on his personal congratulations to the girls.
More success for Riverside Students!
