Happy New Year from Riverside Bridge School.

Riverside Bridge School, in line with Government advice, will be open to all pupils from Tuesday 5th January 2021.

Riverside Bridge School staff are undertaking lateral flow testing on Monday 4th January 2021. We will be in contact with all parents/carers by telephone during the afternoon of Monday 4th January 2021 to advise if they will be open to their child on Tuesday 5th January 2021. This depends entirely on the test results of the lateral flow testing.

In the majority of cases, during the telephone call we will be asking parents/carers about their intentions of whether they will be sending their child into school during the period of contingency.

We encourage all our pupils to attend school but this is not mandatory. However please note that where parents/carers opt not to send their child into school they will not be penalised during the time that the school falls into the contingency area framework, which is in place until the 18th January 2021.  The full guidance can be found on the government website using this link: Coronavirus (COVID19) contingency framework for education and childcare settings – GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)

Where parents/carers are opting to keep their child at home until 18th January 2021, remote learning will be put in place and every pupil is expected to engage in every session provided.
