National Healthy Week

This week is National Healthy Eating Week. In conjunction with the British Nutritional Foundation, Riverside Bridge School will be focusing on five areas of nutrition and Healthy Eating during our Food Technology lessons.  Please look at all the recipes and food we are going to make and will be uploaded to our website on Friday.


Today’s focus was on fibre for meals and snacks. Silver 1 and Red 2 started the day making berry sorbets as berries are full of fibre. Pink 2 made their own bread dough for their pizzas, Blue 1 were learning how important fibre is for our diets and the effect it has on our bodies. Lime 1 were learning about foods packed with fibre to include for picnics such as popcorn, vegetable sticks and broccoli plus lentil bites.
